5Everything about Texas  Jun 22, 2009 By Dan Hill "SAR,SCV,SRT."
A great reference guide, loaded with demographic info...the counties info. section is one of the things about the book I like best...small color maps and quick demographic info. of all 254 Texas counties...many other interesting and helpful sections.. ie; a nice, condensed Texas history, weather and climate info., government, trade and commerce facts, movies made in Texas, etc. The book is full of color photos...a must have guide for Texans and people interested in Texas...and for a reasonable price.

5One of My Most Valuable References at Work  Sep 15, 2011 By Daniel Burke
I work for a Texas state agency, and the Texas Almanac is a valuable reference I use on a daily basis.

From locating one of Texas' 254 counties to finding out the history of the CCC's work in Texas, this book has it all.

The major drawback is that every time I look something up, I see something else interesting in the book and end up spending more time than I intended learning a new factoid or bit of history.

I've been using the Texas Almanac for over 20 years - there's nothing else like it.

3Texas Almanac Fine Print Edition.  Aug 19, 2008 By G. barr
Although the almanac has a host of info, some I couldn't read with a magnifier, as the publisher tried to squeeze as few pages as possible
into a volume that needed at least twice the page number. I wouldn't
buy it again unless I can purchase one with a larger type !!
