4More Austin than San Antonio  Oct 09, 2006 By lhb
Excellent book, very descriptive but there are more Austin trails than SA trails. Some of the trails in this book have become our faves and we would never have found them without the book.

4Hiking in Austin  Oct 19, 2005 By Michael H. Reitzel
This is a good basic book for finding the public hiking trails that are on the beaten path. It is very useful to find what is publically available. It isn't for finding those paths that are hard to find.

I do recommend it.

5Excellent Book  Jan 17, 2009 By A. Wesseling
I bought this book for my sister for Christmas because she had just recently moved to the Austin area. She loves the it and has already been on some of the hikes and says that the descriptions and information about each hiking trial is very helpful and having this book actually helps motivate you to get out there and do the hikes.

2North indicator is wrong on the maps  Apr 12, 2010 By Brian Edwards "bmedwar"
The first two maps I have looked at have the North arrow pointing in the wrong direction. Yikes! Wolf Mountain and Lost Pines.
